IRVINE, Calif. – Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunner Ryan Verdugo stands out yet again for the baseball team. Verdugo earned All-Big West honors for his efforts in the 2024 campaign, the conference office announced in a release Wednesday afternoon. He received All-Conference second team honors for his work on the mound.

Wrapping up the season, the Friday night starter pitched a conference high of 89.1 innings, finished fourth in the Big West with an ERA 2.72 and third with 93 strike outs. He leads the `Runners in each category, consistently made an impact on the mound. The junior continuously impressed throughout the season having back-to-back Big West Pitcher of the Week nods while setting a new CSUB record, pitching 7 innings of no hit baseball, something that has never been done before as a Roadrunner while being in the Big West.
