`Runner Defense Beats Pacific in Seven Innings

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. –The Cal State Bakersfield baseball team had a huge win against Pacific  accompanied by a complete game thrown by Tally Wright Jr. 
The Bakersfield ball club started off hot, scoring three runs to kick off the game against the Tigers. Paired with the `Runners defense, Wright held off the Pacific batters for the first four innings, only giving up a single run in the top of the fifth inning. The senior starting pitcher closed out the game after seven innings off work, giving up only a scatter of four hits, the single run all while striking out four Tigers. 

The Roadrunners win consisted of all around teamwork from the ball club, continuing their scoring in the fifth and sixth inning, scoring four runs in both. Jason Leon, a standout third baseman for the `Runners put up three RBI hitting 257 along with Nick Salas who batted .302, having two hit, two runs off of three at bats.
