Men's Swim & Dive

Swim & Dive Honored for Academic Excellence

Bakersfield, Calif. – CSU Bakersfield's Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving teams have once again earned Academic All-American scholar programs by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America. The CSCAA list honors programs around the country who earned cumulative Spring 2022 grade point averages of 3.0 or better.
 
"Chris Hansen continues to set the standard for success, in the pool and in the classroom," noted CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart.

The Roadrunner women earned the honor for the eleventh-consecutive semester, accumulating a team GPA of 3.17. Fifteen female student-athletes earned Athletic Honor Roll or Dean's List recognition, while MPSF Champions Autumn D'Arcy and Mikayla Popham both earned perfect 4.0's for the semester.
 
Bakersfield's men posted a 3.03 GPA, with fifteen individual student-athletes earning Athletic Honor Roll or Dean's List honors. Diver Dyson Modica led the program with a 3.93 term grade point average, while Carter Walles was the top swimmer, posting a 3.73. 
 
The men's program boasts a cumulative GPA of 3.06, while the women have earned a 3.40 GPA on all completed coursework to date.
