CSUB's Five Top 7 Finishes Highlight Indoor Closer

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The CSU Bakersfield women's track and field team closed their indoor season with five top seven finishes at the Ron Mann Classis on Friday. The Roadrunners return to Bakersfield and shift focus to the outdoor season, Feb. 19.

Miranda Miller was fourth in pole vault. Miller cleared 3.75m (12'03.75") easily before technicalities hit around the 3.90m mark. She still was the best collegiate finisher, her second time this season. Miller now has the next couple of weeks to work out the `Runners outdoor slate.

Kassidy Neptune had one of her best days in vault close to her personal best with a mark of 3.45m (11'03.75").

Neyda Martinez finished fourth out of 16 runners in the 600 meters with a season best time of 1:44.89.

Julia Stein finished fifth in the prelims of the 60m Hurdles advancing to the finals with a time of 59.77. However, she opted out of the finals race due to a tight hamstring.

Jessi Solis advanced to the finals in weight throw finishing seventh overall throwing the distance of 15.05m (49"04.50").

Jaylen Christensen finished seventh in the high jump clearing 1.50m (4'11").
