Biography
2023 (R-JUNIOR): Indoor - Raced in three meets...Re-set her indoor school record in the pole vault at the Lumberjack Team Challenge with a mark of 13'7.25". Outdoor - Had a seven win streak in the pole vault to open up the 2023 season...Led the Big West all season long in her event...Became back-to-back Big West Champion in the pole vault with a mark of 13'3.5"...Placed 13th overall at the NCAA West Preliminary Round in the pole vault, just shy of qualifying for the NCAA Championship Meet.Â
2022 (R-SOPHOMORE): Indoor - Competed in three meets during the indoor season...Set the indoor school record in the pole vault with a mark of 13'1.5" at the Lumberjack Team Challenge. Outdoor - Had eight wins in pole vault throughout the season...Set the meet record at the Beach Opener in the pole vault with a mark 13'2.5"...Became Big West Pole Vault Champion and set a new school record with a mark of 14'1.25"...While becoming the first CSUB athlete to win at the championship meet, she set the championship meet record and conference record...Was honored Big West Field Athlete of the Year...Placed 20th overrall at the NCAA West Preliminary Round...Became 2022Â USTFCCCAÂ All-Academic team.
2021 (R-FRESHMAN): Competed in all 10 meets scheduled on the outdoor slate...Opened first season with the Roadrunners with a huge clearance in pole vault (12'7.5") placing first at the Central California Invitational...Tallied the best PV mark in program history at the Fresno State Invitational clearing 13'1.5", placed third in the event...Matched 13'1.5" mark in the following meet at Long Beach Throws/Jumps...Earned All-Big West Conference honors at the Outdoor Championships, placing third in pole vault...Had a pair of wins on the season and never finished outside Top 10 on the year...Named ROWDYs Newcomer of the Year.
2020 (REDSHIRT): Earned All-WAC honors at the Indoor Championships ahead of the canceled outdoor season.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2019 graduate of Sierra High School...coach was Ezequiel Ruiz...was the 2019 CIF Sac-Joaquin Section champion in pole vault...earned the All Star Prep award and a Girls Track and Field Player of the Year honor...finished tenth in triple jump at the 2019 CIF state championships...set school record in pole vault, triple jump and long jump...didn't start competing in track until her junior year at Sierra HS...member of the National Honor Society and California Scholarship Federation. PERSONAL: Major is Kinesiology...plans to become a high school physical eduction teacher and track and field coach.
