Baseball Announces Media & Ticketing Plans

Bakersfield, Calif. – CSU Bakersfield baseball has announced its season ticket and media broadcasting plans for the program's second season in the nationally competitive Big West Conference. The Roadrunners will play 33 home games in 2022, highlighted by five home conference series and non-conference sets versus Kansas State and Utah.

Thirty-one of Bakersfield's 33 home games will be broadcast live on ESPN+ this season as part of CSU Bakersfield's and the Big West Conference's agreement with the sports media platform. The lone exception will be a March 5 double header against visiting Utah.

Veteran play-by-plan man Jason Galvan returns as the voice of CSUB Baseball in 2022.

Big West home games are once again scheduled to air live on ESPN Radio Bakersfield on both 1230 AM and 101.1 FM.

Picked to finish last in the 2021 Pre-Season Coaches' Poll the Roadrunners spent much of the season near the top of the Big West standings, before slipping to 7^th with a 17-19 league mark.

CSUB opens the 2022 season with a 13-game home stand at Hardt Field, beginning with a Feb. 18 contest against Oakland University set for 6:05 PM.

Season ticket plans and individual game tickets are on sale now and can be purchased on GoRunners.com/Tickets or by calling 661.654.BLUE. Ticketing options include reserved seating in the Hardt Field grandstand or general admission tickets on the berm along the third base line.

Full season tickets include all 33 home games and offer the biggest per ticket discount possible, while two different 16-game half season plans offer an alternative option to save. Flex plans of eight or more games are also available.

Single-game tickets are at regular price, which varies by seat location, game date, opponent, and whether it's an Adult (18+) or Youth (3-17) ticket. CSUB alumni, faculty, and staff receive an online pre-order discount.

Groups of 12 or more can save when ordering in advance, with the best value available during Group Value Games every Sunday throughout 2022. Organizations interested in purchasing group tickets can contact the CSUB Athletics Ticket Office at 661.654.BLUE.
