Three-Goal Weekend Outburst Garners O'Hara Big West Offensive Player of the Week Honors

Irvine, Calif. – CSU Bakersfield forward Aodhan O'Hara has been named the Big West Conference Offensive Player of the Week after scoring three goals in a pair of weekend games against California Baptist and Pacific. The goals were the first three of O'Hara's Roadrunner career; the senior scored nine times in four seasons at Alabama-Birmingham before transferring to CSUB this season.

"We are delighted for Aodhan," said CSUB Head Coach Richie Grant. "His contributions in the last two matches were critical and a very positive sign for our team moving forward."

Two of O'Hara's goals were game-tying scores. His second half strike against CBU forced overtime and earned the `Runners their first points of the season.

Against Pacific, O'Hara rallied Bakersfield from a two-goal deficit with goals in the 49th and 67th minutes, evening the score late in a game the `Runners would eventually lose.

The Barrie, Ontario native leads CSUB in goal scoring through four games, and his 12 career Division I goals are the most by a Roadrunner. He's taken five shots this season, including three on target.

O'Hara and the `Runners return to action on Friday, Sept. 10 at the University of San Diego and again on Sunday, Sept. 12 at San Diego State University, in the first two of a five-game road trip. CSUB returns home on Wednesday, Oct. 6 against Big West rival Cal State Fullerton.
