Rogic Grabs Second Title at Croatian Nationals

Zagreb, Croatia - CSU Bakersfield senior swimmer Kris Rogic captured the 50 Backstroke at the Croatian National Championship meet, Saturday. Rogic posted a time of 25.79 to collect his second gold medal of the meet and the eighth National Title of his decorated international career.

"I'm so thrilled for Kris," said CSUB Director of Swimming Chris Hansen. "He has worked so hard through the pandemic season and to see it pay off is heartwarming."

Rogic will swim the 100 Backstroke on Sunday, in an effort to win a third championship for the third consecutive season.

Incoming freshman Lorena Jerebic grabbed a runner-up finish in the women's 200 Butterfly with a time of 2:20.21; her second top-four finish of the meet.

After placing first in the 50 Breaststroke, senior Antonio Milin was 6th in the 100 Breaststroke (1:05.03) on Sunday.
