Cody Tucker suffered a hard-luck loss after throwing 5.0 IP with an earned run and four strike outs, keeping CSUB in the game until the seventh.

Bakersfield scored in the first in game two, grabbing their first lead of the series, but the advantage was short lived as CSUN answered again with five runs in the top of the second.

This time, the Matadors never looked back, pounding out 13 hits in a 10-1 win.

Aaron Charles and Art Joven started for CSUB; neither lasted longer than 1.2 IP, while their CSUN counterparts Gavin Lizik and Jeremy Hassel each pitched into the sixth and earned a win.
