2021: Made nine starts and a pair of relief appearances totaling 47.1 innings pitched, 33 strikeouts and a 3.80 ERA...Limited opposing hitters to a .283 batting average against...Allowed six hits in six innings of work, allowing two earned runs and striking out three in a no decision against UC Riverside...Picked up the save with two strikeouts in 0.2 innings pitched against UC Davis...Struck out five and allowed one earned run in a win at Hawai'i...5.0 IP and another five strikeouts to beat UC San Diego on the road...Allowed more than 2 ER in just two of his nine starts. 

2020: Made four appearances and three starts pitching to a 4.50 ERA over 18.0 innings...Struck out 14, walked six and held opposing hitters to a .284 batting average...Pitched five innings of relief, striking out six and just three hits against Washington State on Feb. 14...Allowed four hits and two unearned runs in a start versus San Francisco on Feb. 21...Struck out four and scattered seven hits in a 5.0 inning start against Holy Cross on Feb. 29.

2019: Sat out the season as a redshirt.

2018: Opening-day starter...made six starts and appeared out of the bullpen nine times...produced a 2-4 record and a 5.98 ERA...was fourth on the team with 43.2 innings pitched...struck out 25 batters for the second straight season...tied a career-high with six strikeouts in season-opening start against UC Davis on February 16...earned first victory of the season at Portland on March 1 after throwing a career-best 7.0 innings...earned victory against Dartmouth on March 18.

2017: Slowed by off season injuries but recovered in time to pitch in nine games...became a weekend starter for the Roadrunners and started eight times...went 4-1 with a 4.29 ERA...struck out 25 in 42 innings.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2016 graduate of Ridgeview High School...coach was Jason Hunsaker...named to the Bakersfield Californian BVarsity All-Area team as a junior after leading the Wolfpack to the D-III championship game...hit .425 and went 7-0 on the mound with a 1.60 ERA in 2015...selected All-League three times in his prep career.

PERSONAL: Born Apr. 19, 1998...son of Arthur and Brandy Charles...father Arthur played college basketball at Boise State while his mother Brandy earned Second-Team All-American hoops honors for the Roadrunners in 1992..brother Art played baseball at Bakersfield College where he was drafted twice and played professional baseball for six seasons, most recently with the Philadelphia Phillies organization...First cousin of Roadrunner teammate Eric Charles...a Liberal Studies major with a Communications minor...Hopes to work for ESPN after graduation.
