CSUB Builds On Success in Second Meet

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – CSU Bakersfield outdoor track and field made strides on Saturday in Fresno. The Roadrunners bagged thirteen Top 8 performances at the Spring Break Invitational meet.

Tom Richardson led the `Runners travel party placing Top 8 in all three throw events on the day. Richardson finished sixth in shot put, eighth in hammer and discus. Hugo Santana led the group in hammer again placing fifth while Corbin Chronister landed seventh.

Ryan Bentley tied for third in high jump in his second meet as a Roadrunner.

Brandon Andrade finished third in the 400-meter hurdles and fifth in the 110-meter hurdles.

Julianne Finch led the women with a fourth-place finish in pole vault. Miranda Miller joined Finch in the Top 8 at seventh.

Freshman Julia Stein tabbed fifth in the 100- and 400-meter hurdles.

Jessi Solis threw for a seventh-place finish in hammer throw.
