Cummins Finishes Sixth in 3-Meter Diving

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – CSU Bakersfield diver Nate Cummins highlighted the Roadrunners first day of the Trojan Diving Invitational on the campus of USC.  Cummins placed sixth out of 12 divers in the 3-meter diving competition. 

The freshman scored 251.25 points after his first six dives, but came through with a career-best 270.5 in his second set of six dives for a 521.75 total.  CSUB sophomore Adam Estrella totaled 500.40 to take eighth, while Andrew Huerta finished 10th with 392.65. 

Jocelyne McLaughlin was the only competitor for the women, totaling 305.20 on the 1-meter board.  She finished 17th out of 18 competitors. 

The women divers will be back in action in 3-meter diving at Uytengsu Aquatics Center tomorrow morning at 11:00 a.m.
