Barnes Announces Transer of Fallou Ndoye

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.- Head men's basketball coach Rod Barnes has announced the addition of 6'11” center and transfer Fallou Ndoye to CSU Bakersfield, he will be eligible to compete for the Roadrunners in December of 2016 following his transfer from Mississippi State.

Fallou, a Taif, Senegal native, appeared in 30 games last season for the Bulldogs and six during this season prior to his transfer. Per NCAA rules he will be eligible 12-months after his transfer; having already used a redshirt season in 2013-14, Fallou will be a redshirt-junior and have a season and a half of eligibility remaining while at CSUB.

“We're excited to have him with us,” Barnes said. “He's 6-11, he's a guy that's really long, moves his feet well, can really run the floor and has inside presence.”

Ndoye is scouted as a big center with good size and good hands to go along with his ability to score both in the paint and in mid-range. He is also expected to help fill a huge hole in the Roadrunners' lineup next season following the graduation of Kevin Mays and Aly Ahmed after the 2016 campaign.

“When you're losing front line depth like we are with Kevin and Aly [after this season] it's definitely huge for us,” Barnes said. “When you have an athlete who is 6-11, it just changes things.”

Ndoye was rated as a three-star recruit by ESPN.com coming out of Findlay Prep in Henderson, Nevada where he helped lead the Pilots to a school-record 35 victories in the 2012-13 season.
