Roadrunners Return To Pitch At USF Thursday Night

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.--After a 13-day layoff, the CSU Bakersfield men's soccer team returns to the pitch Thursday night when the Roadrunners travel to the University of San Francisco. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.

This is the third meeting between CSUB (1-2-2) and San Francisco in men's soccer with the Roadrunners holding a 2-0 advantage.

The Dons have lost four in a row including a pair of 3-1 decisions last weekend to No. 4 Stanford and California. USF is 2-6 entering this week's action. Three Dons; Aaron Lombardi, Davi Ramos, and David Garrett have each scored two goals this season. USF has been outscored 20-9 this season.

The last time out for CSUB saw the Roadrunners play to a 0-0 tie with CSUN Sept. 13 in Northridge. Nicolas Clever recorded his eighth career shutout as he made seven saves.

CSUB head coach Richie Grant continues to look for his 200th career victory this week. Grant will be going for his 200th career victory as a collegiate head coach. Grant is 199-54-31 on the sidelines. If he is able to reach 200, he would become the 50th active Division I head coach to accomplish the feat.
