BAKERSFIELD, Calif.-- The 2015 CSU Bakersfield women's soccer season will officially begin Friday night when the Roadrunners open their regular season with a match against Humboldt State.
The 'Runners opened their season Tuesday night when they tied Cal State San Bernardino 2-2 in an exhibition. Friday night's match will be both the home and regular season opener for a CSUB squad which is reloaded and excited to take the pitch.
CSUB holds a 4-3-2 all-time record over Humboldt State and the 'Runners will look to start their season off with a win. A victory on Friday night would be a milestone for Bakersfield's head coach, Gary Curneen, who is currently sitting on 99 career wins as a head coach in the NCAA.
The Lumberjacks will come to Bakersfield for the match which is set to begin at 7 p.m. at the Main Soccer Field. Fans can purchase tickets at the door or ahead of time by going to Vallitix.com.
