BAKERSFIELD, Calif.—After reaching the NCAA Tournament for the first time a year ago, CSU Bakersfield director of volleyball Giovana Melo has announced the 2015 schedule.

The road heavy schedule features five teams; Alabama State, Creighton, Denver, Hawai'I, and Lipscomb; that joined the Roadrunners in the NCAA Tournament last season.  2015 gets underway at the University of San Francisco Invitational Aug. 28-29 where the 'Runners face Denver, the host Dons, and San Diego State.

Following a match at Sacramento State Sept. 1, the Roadrunners travel to Troy, Ala. where the 'Runners are entered in the Sept. 4-5 Troy Invitational. CSUB faces the host Trojans, East Tennessee State, and Alabama State. The final non-conference tournament in which the Roadrunners are entered is the Sept. 11-12 Creighton Invitational. The 'Runners play Pacific, Creighton, and Lipscomb. The non-conference portion of the schedule concludes at Hawai'i with two matches Sept. 18 and Sept. 20 against the Rainbow Wahine.

CSUB opens WAC play with three road matches beginning Sept. 26 at Grand Canyon. The first of the seven home matches will take place Oct. 8 when the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley (formerly Texas-Pan American) comes to the Icardo Center. On Oct. 10 New Mexico State travels to Bakersfield for a league match.

The Roadrunners return to the road Oct. 15 and 17 for matches at Chicago State and Missouri-Kansas City. A three-game home stand begins Oct. 24 with Grand Canyon followed by Seattle U on the 29th and a Halloween matchup against Utah Valley.

After traveling to NM State (Nov. 5) and UTRGV (Nov. 7), the regular season concludes with a pair of home contests against UMKC on Nov. 12 and Chicago State Nov. 14. Missouri-Kansas City hosts the WAC Tournament Nov. 19-21.
