BAKERSFIELD, Calif.-- After opening the 2015-16 swimming and diving season with a strong dual meet against fellow WAC member Grand Canyon, the Roadrunners earned a spot in the CollegeSwimming.com NCAA Division I Top 50 Team Rankings.
CSU Bakersfield was placed 39th overall after the first week of competition. The 'Runners also ranked 17th among mid-major programs across the nation. With one meet under their belts, the Roadrunner men will look to improve times all season long and rise in the rankings as they push toward the WAC Championships.
The weekly ranking is determined by team scores for every program in the nation. The scores are calculated by using each team's top 27 swims and best medley and freestyle relay times, gauging them against the US Open record in each event.
