BAKERSFIELD, Calif.--The Bakersfield baseball team (15-22) travels to Kansas State (22-18) for a two-game series. The series will be played on Monday and on Tuesday with first pitch coming at 6:30 p.m. (PDT) on both days. Both games will be televised on Fox College Sports.
This is the eighth and ninth times that Bakersfield and Kansas State are playing baseball. The Wildcats lead the all-time series 4-3. Kansas State won two of three Big-12 games this past weekend against Baylor. Ross Kivet leads the team in hitting (.340), home runs (3), and RBI's (27).
The Roadrunner are coming off a UTPA series in which the 'Runners lost two of three games. James Barragan (Jr., Bakersfield, Calif., Stockdale HS) earned the victory on Saturday against the Broncs by going 5.2 innings in relief, striking out six along the way.
