BAKERSFIELD, Calif.--Bakersfield takes on the highest ranked team in school history Tuesday night when the 'Runners host No. 3 Cal Poly at 6 p.m.
Cal Poly (30-5) is ranked third in the Baseball America and Collegiate Baseball polls entering this week. The previously highest ranked team Bakersfield played was during the 2011 season when CSUB traveled to then No. 4 South Carolina for three game set.

Cal Poly is coming off a weekend sweep of Hawai'i in Big West Conference play last weekend. Mark Mathias is the team's leading hitter (.379). Nick Torres who is hitting .326, is tied for the team lead in home runs with Brian Mundell and leads the squad in RBI's (31).
Justin Calomeni is the Cal Poly probable starter. Calomeni, a righty, is 6-1 and is scheduled to go against Bakersfield freshman lefty Alec Daily (1-1).
Roadrunner lefty Austin Davis was selected WAC Pitcher of the Week Apr. 14. Davis reset his career high with nine strikeouts in an 11-0 victory over Chicago State on Sunday. Davis allowed only three hits and walked two in his first career shutout and second career complete game.
