BAKERSFIELD, Calif.--For the second weekend in a row, the Bakersfield women's soccer team will face Utah Valley and Seattle U in WAC play.
The Roadrunners travel to Utah Valley Friday night for a 7:30 p.m. (MDT) start. After defeating CSUB last Friday night, Utah Valley handed Grand Canyon a 2-0 defeat last Sunday. Utah Valley is 7-4-2, 2-1 in WAC play.
Bakersfield will travel to Seattle U for an 11 a.m. start on Sunday morning. After defeating the Roadrunners 6-3 last Sunday, Seattle has improved to 7-3-1 overall and 3-0 in league play. Counting last season's conference tournament, the Redhawks have won 17 WAC matches in a row.
Bakersfield's Hedda Regefalk was named Western Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week Oct. 7.
Regefalk, a sophomore forward from Stockholm, Sweden (Blackebergs Gymnasium), became the seventh Bakersfield women's soccer player to record a hat trick against Seattle U. Regefalk's hat trick is the third for CSUB at the Division I level and 11th overall for a member of the Roadrunner program.
She scored all four goals on the week for the Roadrunners in their games against Utah Valley and Seattle U. Regefalk scored the first WAC hat trick for the 2014 season.
