BAKERSFIELD, Calif.-- After four straight WAC games on the road, the Roadrunner women's soccer team has returned to Bakersfield. The 'Runners begin a four-game home stand this week with games against Texas-Pan American and New Mexico State.

Bakersfield (2-13-1, 1-5 WAC) got back in the win column last week with a 3-1 road victory against Chicago State before falling to Missouri-Kansas City to close the weekend. Tori Ornela (R-Jr., Lemoore, Calif., Lemoore HS) continued to move up the all-time ranks for Bakersfield in multiple goalkeeping categories while forward Hedda Regefalk (So., Stockholm, Sweden, Blackebergs Gymnasium) is now tied for 12th-most goals in a season for Bakersfield (6).

The 'Runners will take on Texas-Pan American Friday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. at the Main Soccer Field on campus. UTPA is 8-5-4 overall and 2-3-1 in the WAC after dropping back-to-back road games to Utah Valley and Seattle U last week. Amie Inthoulay and Andreya Barrera are both tied for sixth in the WAC in points per game (0.94) for the Broncs. Freshman goalkeeper Aubrie Coley is fourth in the conference in goals against average (1.55).

Bakersfield will host NM State Sunday, Oct. 26 at noon. New Mexico State (3-14-0, 2-5-0 WAC) dropped both of its home games last week. Leading the Aggie offense is Jennae Cambra who ranks second in the WAC in both points per game (1.59) and goals per game (0.65). NMSU has two goalies that split time evenly while Taylor Rice leads the pair in goals against average (3.15).

Friday is Red/Yellow Card Night. The first 250 fans receive a Red/Yellow Card to cheer on the 'Runners! The next match is Sunday Family Funday sponsored by La Preciosa 105.3. All youth 12 and under will receive complimentary admission with one paid adult admission. Friday's match against UTPA can be seen for free via the WAC Digital Network.
