BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The 2012 CSUB soccer season is less than one month away and fans can be sure to catch all the action of NCAA Division I soccer with a newly-designed Roadrunner soccer season ticket package on sale now at GoRunners.com.
The newly-redesigned season ticket packages are available seperately for men's and women's soccer and include all home exhibition and regular-season contests. Postseason seating priority will also be offered to season ticket holders for any NCAA tournament games held at the Main Soccer Field.
Coming off their most successful season at the Division I level, the CSUB men's soccer program will be looking for a return trip to the NCAA Tournament following their appearance in last year's first round. With national player of the year candidate and leading scorer Gyasi Zardes returning, along with many key members from the 2011 squad, the Roadrunners are built for another postseason run during their final season in the MPSF before they join the Pac-12 in 2013.
Season tickets for men's soccer will be $65 for adults and $30 for kids 14 and under.
The men's team opens the home portion of their schedule with an exhibition against The Master's College on August 18th at 7 P.M. Their regular-season home opener is slated for Monday August 27 when they host UC Davis.
On the women's side, head coach Melissa Phillips begins her second season at the helm of the Roadrunners with an impressive incoming recruiting class. Leading scorer Sam Pena returns along with Erica Shelton, a former Stockdale High School standout who spent her first two seasons at UC Santa Barbara before transferring to CSUB this season.
The women's squad will host their alumni match on August 11 at 7 P.M., then open their regular-season home schedule on August 26 against the University of San Francisco.
Season tickets for women's soccer are $45 for adults and $30 for kids 14 & under.
Several promotional giveways and game day activities are also planned for this season with opponents such as Cal State Fullerton, UNLV, Air Force, Hawai'i and Idaho State making trips to Bakersfield.
Tickets are available online at GoRunners.com, or by calling the CSUB ticket office at (661) 654-BLUE.
