BAKERSFIELD, Calif.—CSU Bakersfield (18-19) travels to Nebraska for a three-game series this weekend in Lincoln. Friday's first pitch is set for 4:35 p.m. (PDT). Saturday's game begins at 12:05 p.m. (PDT). The set concludes Sunday at 10:05 a.m. (PDT).

CSU Bakersfield took 2-of-3 games from Nebraska during the Roadrunners' inaugural season in 2009 in Lincoln. The Huskers improved to 27-15 Tuesday night with a 4-1 victory over Creighton. Darrin Erstad, a veteran of 14 seasons with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Chicago White Sox, and Houston Astros, is in his first season as head coach of his alma mater.

Nebraska will send lefty Kyle Kubat (Friday night), righty Brandon Pierce (Saturday), and Zach Hirsch (a lefthander, Sunday) against the Roadrunners. Michael Pritchard is the Huskers' leading hitter (.380). Josh Scheffert leads the team in home runs (7) while Richard Stock has 32 RBI's to pace the Huskers.

The Roadrunners will send Spenser Messmore (Sr., Grenada Hills, Calif., Alemany HS) to the mound Friday night and Jeff McKenzie (Jr., El Dorado Hills, Calif., San Joaquin Delta College) to the mound on Saturday afternoon. Sunday's starter has not been determined.

Cal State Northridge hit three home runs as the Matadors defeated CSU Bakersfield 5-2 Apr. 24. Cael Brockmeyer (So., Vineyard Haven, Mass., Avon Old Farms HS) hit his team leading fifth home run as he went 2-for-3 with two runs scored.
