CSUB Baseball At Northridge Tuesday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.—CSU Bakersfield (18-18) travels to Cal State Northridge (16-20) for the second of three games against the Matadors this season Tuesday afternoon. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. Cal State Northridge comes to Bakersfield on May 22.

Cal State Northridge leads the all-time series against CSUB 5-4 after defeating the Roadrunners 4-3 Apr. 10 in Northridge. The Matadors dropped a 12-4 decision to No. 11 UCLA last Tuesday. The Matadors are 4-5 in Big West Play and are tied four fourth in the BWC. Cal Vogelsang is Northridge's leading hitter (.297). Miles Williams leads the team in home runs (5) and RBI's (20).

Jeff McKenzie (Jr., El Dorado Hills, Calif., San Joaquin Delta College) tossed his third complete game of the season as CSU Bakersfield defeated Fresno State 8-1 Saturday night. McKenzie scattered nine hits as he picked up his third win of the year (3-4). Cael Brockmeyer (So., Vineyard Haven, Mass., Avon Old Farms HS) was 3-for-4 with two runs scored in addition to his home run. Jordie Hein (Fr., Scottsdale, Ariz., Chapparal HS) went 2-for-3.
