CSUB Hosts USC Tuesday Night

BAKERSIFELD, Calif.--CSU Bakersfield (17-17) hosts USC (19-14) Tuesday night at Hardt Field for a 6 p.m. matchup. The Trojans swept a three-game series from CSUB Mar. 9-11 to take a 4-0 all-time series lead.

USC has lost four in a row after being swept by No. 21 Arizona State this past weekend in Tempe. Matt Foat (.381) is USC's leading hitter. Righthander Brandon Garcia (2-3) is scheduled to start against the Roadrunners.

The Roadrunners took two-of-three games at UC Riverside over the weekend. Andrew Letourneau (Sr., Bakersfield, Calif., Bakersfield College) hit. 455 with two RBI's during the series. Senior Spenser Messmore (Sr., Granada Hills, Calif., Alemany HS) who is 3-1 on the year is scheduled to start. Messmore has tossed three complete games in his three starts this season.
