CSUB Heads To Washington This Weekend

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.--CSU Bakersfield (7-11) travels to Seattle this weekend for a three-game baseball series at the University of Washington (12-7). Friday's first pitch is set for 5 p.m. Saturday's action begins at 2 p.m. with the series finale getting going at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

CSU Bakersfield swept a three-game series from Washington to open the 2011 season in the only previous meetings between the two schools. The Huskies are currently 12-7 after taking 2-of-3 from Oregon to open Pac-12 play last weekend.

Andrew Ely leads the Huskies with a .429 batting average. Michael Camporeale is UW's team leader in home runs (2 with Ryan Wiggins) and RBI's (15). Aaron West, who is 3-1, is scheduled to start Friday night. Tyler Davis, moves from the bullpen to make his second start of the year Saturday followed by Austin Voth (3-0) on Sunday.

Fresno State defeated CSUB in a pair of games last weekend in Fresno. On Friday night, the Bulldogs handed CSUB a 2-1 loss. Saturday's game was rained out and will be made up Apr. 21 in Fresno. Sunday saw Fresno State defeat the Roadrunners 5-0.
