CSUB Heads To Fresno State This Weekend

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.--CSU Bakersfield (7-9) heads to Fresno State this weekend for a three-game baseball series in Fresno. Friday and Saturday's games will begin at 6:05 p.m. with Sunday's finale getting underway at 1:05 p.m.

CSU Bakersfield defeated Fresno State 4-0 Feb. 22 in Bakersfield. The all-time series is tied 8-8. The Bulldogs split a four-game series with San Francisco last weekend to fall to 7-9 on the season. Patrick Hutcheson is Fresno State's leading hitter (.310). The Bulldogs' Friday night starter Tyler Linehan is 2-1 with a 1.57 ERA and has struck out 33 in 28.2 innings of work.

USC swept a three-game series from CSU Bakersfield Mar. 9-11. The Trojans won game one (6-5) and game two (9-8) with walkoff base hits. USC defeated CSUB 6-0 on Sunday. Dylan Christensen (Jr., Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., Saddleback College) hit .500 during the series to raise his batting average from .176 to .310.
