CSUB At UNLV For 2 Game Set Tuesday And Wednesday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.—CSU Bakersfield (4-3) is at UNLV (3-4) for a two-game baseball series beginning Tuesday night at 6:05 p.m. Wednesday's action gets underway at 2:05 p.m.

This is the first series between CSUB and UNLV in baseball. The Rebels are 3-4 after losing 2-of-3 in Corpus Christi, Texas last weekend. Trevor Kirk is the leading UNLV hitting at .417 clip. UNLV will throw a pair of rightys; Tyler Iodence and John Richy who will be making their first starts of the 2012 season.

UC Davis took 2-of-3 from the Roadrunners Feb. 24-26. The Aggies defeated the Roadrunners 10-6 in 16 innings Friday night and 6-5 Saturday afternoon. CSUB won the series finale 7-4 Sunday. Kevin Younger (Jr., Bakersfield, Calif., Liberty HS) hit .400 during the series (6-of-15) with three RBI's.  Taylor Aikenhead (So., Lancaster, Calif., Bakersfield College) picked up the victory against UC Davis, tossing his second complete of the year.
