CSUB Softball Defeats Weber State At PCSC Crossover

SACRAMENTO, Calif.--CSUB (2-10) defeated Weber State (0-3) 9-7 in the final game of the PCSC Crossover Tournament at Sacramento State Feb. 27.

The Roadrunners scored three runs in both the third inning and fifth inning to secure the victory. Ashley Nahle (Jr., Fremont, Calif., Ohlone College) for 2-for-4 with three runs scored to pace the Roadrunners. Ryane Peterson (Sr., Fresno, Calif., Fresno State) hit her first home of the season and scored two runs.

Jamie Miller (Sr., Livermore, Calif., Ohlone College) and Jazmine Lee (Fr., Garden Grove, Calif., Los Alamitos HS) each drove in two runs for CSUB. Sarah Hoag (Fr., Salinas, Calif., Monterey HS) earned the victory, striking out seven over the first 4.1 innings. Sammy Rodriguez (Jr., Salinas, Calif., Salinas HS) got the save, pitching the final 2.2 innings and striking out three.

CSUB travels to Cal State Northridge Wednesday for a 2 p.m. contest.
