The Cardinal won the head-to-head competition 162.5-121.5.

The 200 medley relay team of Luka Leskur, Chad McKenzie, Parsonage and Malcolm Reid scored a second-place time of 1:34.26, just behind Stanford's team of Matt Thompson, John Criste, Eugene Godsoe and Andrew Grinalds in 1:32.73.

“When one of the best swim coaches in the country (Stanford's Skip Kenny) takes notice and comments on your race it's exciting,” said CSUB Head Coach Chris Hansen.

Parsonage picked up his win in the 100 breast in 58.04, and was followed closely by teammate Chad McKenzie in 58.23. Luka Leskur was second in the 100 back in 51.42, Jay Jones was second in the 200 fly in 1:55.59 and McKenzie was also second in the 200 breast in 2:08.86.

In the springboard diving events Odgen, a Bakersfield native, won the three-meter event with a score of 301.35 and came in second in the one-meter event with a score of 262.97.

“This was our last home meet and the last period for seniors Adam Pawlowski and Malcolm Reid,” said Hansen. “Adam has come such a long way and Malcolm has been a staple in our relays. It is sad to see them go.

“Starting tomorrow we begin our full rest and taper period, and then we get on a plane on Feb. 23,” Hansen added. “(Conference USA member) Southern Miss is a little out of our reach, but our goal is to get as close to East Carolina and Hawaii as we can.”

The Conference USA Championships begin Feb. 24 and run through Feb. 27 on the campus of University of Houston.
