BAKERSFIELD, Calif. ? CSUB women's soccer Head Coach Nicole Van Dyke remained hospitalized Thursday, but is doing well after suffering moderate injuries in a car accident Wednesday afternoon.
After being held in the ICU Wednesday night, simply as a precaution, Van Dyke was moved back to a regular patient room Thursday morning where she is expected to remain for the next four to five days. She has been kept under observation in order to rule out an internal injuries or bleeding.
Her Roadrunner squad returns to the field Friday for a 2:30 p.m. contest at Cal State Northridge. Assistant Coach Fabian Sandovol will assume the head coach duties for that match and possibly through the Nov. 1 match at Fresno State, pending Van Dyke's return.
