Last Season: The Roadrunner coaching staff touted Jessi Loring as one of the program’s prized recruits last season and she lived up to her advance billing, earning All–CCAA honors after playing in and starting 28 games…scored in double figures 21 times as a junior, reaching 20+ points five times…scored 22 in her Roadrunner debut at Grand Canyon (11–18–05)…season– high 27 points came in the regular season finale at Cal State Stanislaus (3–4–06)…the first of her three double–doubles came against eventual NCAA semifinalist Chico State when she scored 16 points with a season–high 12 rebounds (1–28–06)…proved to be one of the nation’s premiere shot blockers, finishing No. 29 in NCAA Division II play with a Roadrunner record 56 blocks…had at least one block in 24 of 28 games with 15 multi–block games…blocked a season–high five shots on three different occasions…ranked among the nation’s most accurate shooters, finishing No. 20 in NCAA Division II at 56 percent (157-of-282).

College of the Canyons: Loring finished No. 16 in California junior college scoring at 17.7 points per game, and No. 11 in rebounding at 11.8 rebounds per game as a sophomore in 2005…also ranked among the state leaders in field goal percentage (.529) and steals (2.3 spg)…was a two–time All–Western State Conference selection, leading her Cougars to a pair of WSC titles…finished No. 11 in California in scoring (17.9 ppg) and No. 9 in rebounding (11.9 rpg) as a freshman…high games in juco were 37 points and 18 rebounds.

High School: Loring played four seasons of varsity ball for state power Saugus High School…led the Centurions to a pair of Foothill League titles as a two–time offensive MVP…averaged 14 points and 10 rebounds per game…led Saugus to a pair of CIF Southern Section semifinal appearances.

Personal: Loring is a liberal studies major at CSUB who aspires to be an elementary school teacher…has held jobs working at Magic Mountain and Victoria’s Secret.
