Big West Announces Winter All-Academic Honorees

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Big West announced its Winter Academic All-Conference selections on Tuesday, recognizing 241 student-athletes who are at least sophomores academically and achieved at least a 3.00 GPA while competing in fifty percent of their team's contests. Between men and women's basketball and men's and women's swimming & diving, 16 Cal State Bakersfield student-athletes were honored by the conference for their accomplishments in competition and in the classroom.

In total, 212 CSUB student-athletes earned GPAs of 3.00 or better during the fall semester with 13 individual programs posting 3.00-plus cumulative GPAs. The Roadrunners posted a 3.37 department wide GPA last semester, ranking among one of the most successful academic terms in CSUB Athletics history.
