`Runners Battle Back for Road Draw in Sac Town

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Cal State Bakersfield men's soccer team twice rallied from a one-goal deficit to earn a 2-2 road draw against Sacramento State on Saturday at Hornet Field. The Roadrunners finished with a 17-10 advantage in shots, including an 11-4 edge after halftime, and more importantly, another point in The Big West standings.

How it Happened

Sacramento State struck first when Hiroshi Yang scored at late in the first half, but Arras pulled the `Runners level less than two minutes later at 42:23. Arras curved a free kick into the side of the night to make the score 1-1.

The Hornets regained the lead at 63:31 when Sean Battistessa finished a pass from Eli Reyneveld, but CSUB again responded. Foster assisted Bouman's equalizer at 68:22 as the freshman from Australia zipped one home for a 2-2 score.

CSUB continued to press late, finishing with 11 second-half shots. Arras and Charlie Cazares led the `Runners with three shots apiece, while Hart made five saves. Sacramento State goalkeeper Lucas Bost also made five saves as the Hornets held on for the draw.
