CSUB Athletics Unveils 2026 Spring Broadcast Schedule on ESPN+

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – As the 2026 Spring season draws near, Cal State Bakersfield Athletics is preparing to deliver extensive coverage of Roadrunner baseball and softball through its continued partnership with ESPN. CSUB and ESPN will once again work together to showcase Roadrunner home contests on ESPN+, providing fans nationwide access to one of the most comprehensive spring broadcast plans in the department's history.

Throughout the Spring, all 19 CSUB softball home games and 22 of the 24 Roadrunner baseball home contests will be produced and streamed live on ESPN+, including every Big West Conference baseball home matchup. ESPN+ remains the premier streaming destination for college athletics and the exclusive home of Roadrunner Spring broadcasts.

Cal State Bakersfield has been producing ESPN broadcasts for more than a decade as part of The Big West Conference's long-standing agreement with the network. Fans unable to attend games at Hardt Field or the CSUB Softball Complex can continue to follow the `Runners live, with CSUB Director of Creative Services Kyle LePere overseeing all broadcast operations.

Under LePere's direction, CSUB will broadcast 41 of 43 total home baseball and softball games during the 2026 Spring season, accounting for 95% of all home contests. The plan includes 100% coverage of softball home games and over 91% of baseball home dates, reinforcing CSUB's commitment to expanding the visibility of its spring sports programs.

Cal State Bakersfield's first broadcast of the season will come on Feb. 13, when baseball opens its home schedule under the lights against Southern Indiana, marking the start of another exciting spring at Hardt Field. Additional notable broadcast matchups during the 2026 Spring season include:

Mar. 3: CSUB Softball opens its home slate with the Rally for the Valley against Fresno State

Mar. 10: Baseball returns home to face Westcliff in an Education Day matchup primed for highlight-reel moments
Mar. 13-14: `Runner Softball hosts its first Big West series against CSUN
Apr. 17-19: Bakersfield Baseball welcomes Hawai'i to Hardt Field for the last time as members of The Big West
