BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - CSUB was invited to the prestigious Bruin Wave Invitational this year in Valencia, California, that included several big names and other Big West schools. The tournament co-hosted by UCLA and Pepperdine featured Stanford, Oregon State, UC Irvine, Cal State Fullerton and more, the Roadrunners were challenged and competed with some of the best talent in the world.

Sarah Mutai led Bakersfield after the first 36 holes of action on day one. Mutai finished the first round with a 77 (+5) and then improved by one stroke in the next round finishing with a 76 (+4). In the final round, Anna Kehrer and Iris Han both finished with the teams best scores both finishing with a 76 (+4). Both Kehrer and Han both settled in and saw their scores decrease after each round. Kehrer saw the biggest jump of all the Roadrunners, improving her score from round one to two by six strokes.
