BAKERSFIELD – In honor of Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, Kern County Behavioral Health & Recovery Services (KernBHRS) will be sponsoring free admission to the public for the Cal State Bakersfield men's soccer match against Santa Clara University on Wednesday, September 17 at 7:00 p.m. This collaboration is part of the Third Annual Kickin' It with Behavioral Health event.

"It's a reminder that every life matters," said Director of KernBHRS Alison Burrowes. "Similar to every pass, play, and goal, reaching out and supporting each other can really have an impact. Whether on the field or in our communities, we can try to break the silence and stigma and save lives. During Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, let's remember that no one has to face things alone."

Fans in attendance will receive a variety of free giveaways while supplies last. Throughout the evening, there will be messages about Suicide Prevention and information about the services and programs provided by KernBHRS.
