Scott Frasnelly joined the Cal State Bakersfield Athletics Department in 2019 as the Director of Marketing before being promoted to Associate Athletics Director for External Affairs in 2022. He is tasked with the responsibility of leading the marketing and promotional efforts for CSUB Athletics, to include developing and implementing extensive marketing and promotional strategies in order to generate and increase interest, excitement, and loyalty for CSUB Athletics and its teams.
With over 20 years of experience, Frasnelly has served in a variety of roles within the sports marketing industry. Frasnelly has served as a high-ranking executive for many professional sports clubs across the United States including Chief Executive Officer for the San Francisco Bulls professional hockey franchise and Director of Business Development for the ECHL Hockey league office. Over the course of advancing his career, Frasnelly has been a part of multiple marketing departments of the year, a nationally broadcasted all-star game, launching a new sports franchise in front of over 10,000 fans, and working on a new sports concept with events broadcasted on the NBC Sports Network.
A former collegiate baseball player, Frasnelly earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Northwest Nazarene University in 2002. Frasnelly resides in Bakersfield, Calif. and has a daughter named Faith.
