LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Cal State Bakersfield beach volleyball team delivered an impressive performance at the Long Beach State Classic, finishing the weekend with a 3-1 record and securing a historic victory over Boise State for the first time in program history. The win over Boise State is particularly significant as the Broncos are receiving votes in the AVCA Collegiate Beach Poll.
The Roadrunners battled through a competitive field, securing victories over San Francisco, Tarleton State, and Boise State, while narrowly falling to the University of Arizona, another team receiving votes in the national rankings. CSUB’s strong showing in the tournament underscores the team’s growth and ability to compete against top-tier programs.
