Scoring Outburst Leads to CSUB's Third-Straight Victory

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Roadrunner women's basketball team earned its third-straight victory Saturday afternoon in the Icardo Center with an 85-72 victory over Eastern Washington. Cal State Bakersfield's scoring outburst is a season-high for the `Runners and CSUB has not tallied more points in a game against a Division I opponent since the 2018-19 season.

CSUB led EWU by just six points at halftime, but the `Runners quickly ballooned the advantage to double digits and held the Eagles off the entire second half. The `Runners outrebounded their visitors 45-38 and the CSUB defense limited Eastern Washington to 36% shooting on the game.

Senior Marley Langi scored a season-high 19 points to lead the `Runners. Center Tena Ikidi was a problem on both ends, tallying 15 points and a career-high 16 rebounds for her second double-double of the season.

Morgan Hawkins played 39 minutes while scoring 16 points, a season-high for the CSUB point guard. Chrishawn Coleman did a little bit of everything, recording 15 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks.
