CSUB Swim & Dive Ready to Compete This Weekend

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – In the wake of an unexpected leadership change, the start of the 2025-26 swimming and diving season was postponed for the Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners. CSUB Athletics has maintained full support for the student-athletes on the men's and women's squads and is pleased to announce that the `Runners will compete in their first meet of the season this weekend.

On Saturday, Nov. 8, Cal State Bakersfield will head to Fresno, Calif. for a tri-meet. The `Runners are set to swim and dive against event host Fresno State as well as Fresno Pacific.

On the women's side, the `Runners have won three-straight duals against Fresno Pacific, but Bakersfield has lost the last two matchups against the Bulldogs. CSUB will only be competing against Fresno Pacific on the men's side as Fresno State does not sponsor the sport. The `Runners have won four-consecutive duals against the Sunbird men.
