• CSUF is coming off a series against the UC Davis Aggies getting two wins in the three game set,
• The Fullerton offense is tied for first with Cal Poly in batting average at .292.
  • The Titans have 197 hits and 103 RBI which is the best in the conference.
• The Titans pitching staff is also tied with CSUN for first in ERA at 2.34.
  • Opponents are batting .206 when facing CSUF pitching.
• Bakersfield is coming off a series against UCSD going 0-3.
  • The CSUB offense batted .313 on the weekend led by Maya Williams who batted .600 with six hits and a double with two RBI.
• Kirsten Martinez and Sophia Guerra Leiva pitched a combined 13.2 innings with an ERA of 2.65.

• The Cal State Bakersfield Track and Field program is ready for another week of action! The team's are set to compete at the Mark Conover Classic this weekend, hosted by the Cal Poly Mustangs. 
• The two-day meet will be at the Steve Miller & John Capriotti Athletic Complex. 
• On Friday at 10:30 a.m. the meet will kick off with the men's hammer throw. The evening on the track will begin with the men's 200m at 4:30 p.m.
• Saturday will feature the the men's pole vault at 11:00 a.m. to start the day for field events. Running events will begin at 1:00 p.m. with the men's 4x100m relay race. 
• Other notable teams competing at the meet are UC Santa Barbara, San Jose State, and Santa Clara.

CSUB at Mark Conover Classic - Friday-Saturday, Mar. 22-23, All Day 

• Matthew Garrett, Javier Toro, Axel Salazar, and Emanuel Banuelos will kick off the meet on Friday in the men's hammer throw. 
• Jessi Solis will follow after in the women's hammer throw. The squad of throwers have started the season with impressive results and look to continue their momentum. 
• The pair of steeplechasers, Matthew Berry and Helena Valentic will compete in the 2,000m steeplechase for CSUB on Friday evening. 
• Nerissa Thompson and Julie Johnson are ready to race the 200m on Friday. Johnson is coming off a big win and personal best in the event.
• The rest of the `Runners will compete on Saturday.

• The Cal State Bakersfield baseball team is back on the road for Big West play. The Roadrunners are heading down to UC Irvine for a three-game series, who is currently ranked at #19 in the nation. 
• The first game will kick off on Friday night at 6 p.m. followed by a 1 p.m. start on Saturday and Sunday to close out the series. 

 CSUB vs. UC Irvine (15-3, 2-1 BW) 

• Mar. 22-24, at Irvine, Calif.
• The Roadrunners will hop back on the road to UC Irvine for their second weekend of conference play. Looking to compete against the 15-3 team, it’ll be a challenge for the `Runners.
• UC Irvine won their first series in conference competition, beating UC Davis in a thrilling 2-1 series, which ended in an 11 inning loss with Davis barely getting the upper hand in the final innings.
• The Anteaters will put up a battle against the `Runners, already facing off and winning games against San Diego, Michigan, and UCLA.

• After staying home over the last couple of weeks at the Barnes Beach Volleyball Complex at the Student Rec Center, the Roadrunners are set to travel on the road for the next few weeks. 
• The first stop for the `Runners will be the Big West Challenge this Friday and Saturday. 
• CSUB will take on Sacramento State, Long Beach State, and CSUN on Friday.
• Saturday's competition features Cal Poly, UC Davis, and Hawai'i.

CSUB vs. the field:

Sacramento State, Fri., 10:00 a.m. (PT)

• The Roadrunners are on an 8 match win streak against the Hornets.
• In history, Bakersfield has taken down Sacramento 10-1. The only loss came back in 2018. 
• Two weeks ago, CSUB defeated Sac State 3-2 and 4-1 on the day. 
• The Hornets are 5-8 on the season. 

Long Beach State, Fri., 12:30 p.m. (PT)

• Bakersfield has never taken a victory of Long Beach State. The matchup will be a good challenge for the `Runners as they prepare for championship season. 
• The last meeting took place in 2023. where CSUB lost 0-5 to the Beach. 

CSUN, Fri., 5:00 p.m. (PT)

• Bakersfield and CSUN are neck in neck in matchup history. The Matadors have a slight edge of the `Runners with 15 total wins over CSUB's 14 wins. 
• CSUB took the win over CSUN two weeks ago in a 4-1 victory.

Cal Poly, Sat., 9:00 a.m. (PT)

• This will be the first time this year that the two team's will face off. 
• Last year, Cal Poly was victorious over Bakersfield with a 1-4 win. 
• The Roadrunners have only defeated the Mustangs four times out of their 20 meetings. 

UC Davis, Sat., 11:00 a.m. (PT)

• The two teams do not have a long history of competition. UC Davis and Bakersfield have met only seven times, first time was back in 2019. 
• Last year, UC Davis defeated the Roadrunners twice. 

Hawai'i, Sat., 3:00 p.m. (PT)

• The Rainbow Wahine will be another challenge for the `Runners. 
• Dating back to 2014, CSUB has not won against Hawai'i. 
• Last year, Hawai'i won in a 1-4 victory.
