BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Cal State Bakersfield women's soccer team recently learned that midfielder Catalina Roggerone has been called up once again to the Argentina Senior National Team. Roggerone joins Argentina for their 2024 Concacaf Women's Gold Cup Group Stage matches, happening in Los Angeles from Feb. 17-27, where the squad will face off against the United States, Mexico, and either Guyana or Dominican Republic.

All of Argentina's matches will be played at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif., kicking off on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 4:30 p.m. Argentina will take on Mexico for the opening match of the group stages before they face off against Team USA on Friday, Feb. 23. Fans can watch Roggerone and the Argentine squad in action on Paramount+ or by purchasing tickets here

Previously, Roggerone was called up to train with the Argentina Senior National Team ahead of the 2023 Women's World Cup. The sophomore Roadrunner made it to the final-26 candidates.

She finished up her second season at CSUB this past Fall, where she started in all 16 games for the `Runners. Roggerone rejoins her national team as the second youngest member.

"Cata's call-up for the full Argentine national team to play in such a prestigious international event like the Women's Concacaf Gold Cup is absolutely remarkable. The fact that this event is happening in Los Angeles, and she will be part of matches against the United States make it even more special. We are beyond proud of her journey within our program and we project great things for her future with us, professionally, and with the Argentinian national team," said CSUB Head Coach Bernardo Silva
