BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Director of Track & Field, Cross Country, Marcia Mansur-Wentworth has announced Joshua Biagtan as the newest addition to the Cal State Bakersfield track and field coaching staff. A native of Stockton, Calif., Biagtan will bring five years of coaching experience to the Roadrunner teams.
A former student-athlete, Biagtan received his bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in exercise science in 2016 from Fresno State.
Biagtan began coaching as a graduate assistant at Troy University from 2018 to 2019, while earning his master's degree in Sport and Fitness management.
He spent the past five years at Texas A&M Corpus Christi, first as an assistant and moved his way up to an associate head coach position. While with the Islanders, he coached one conference champion, 13 school records, 15 all-conference performances, and two NCAA championships first round qualifiers.
Biagtan holds USA Track & Field Level I Certification and USTFCCCA Certifications in jumping events and strength and conditioning.
Biagtan will assist in all aspects of the program including being the recruiting coordinator.
