The senior threw a personal best mark of 65.76m (215'9") in the hammer throw. Toro now holds the second best mark in CSUB history. He rank's second in the event heading into the conference championships.
Toro is on pace to head to his third straight NCAA West First Round in the hammer throw. The San Joaquin, Calif. native is ranked 21st in the region. Top-48 qualify for the NCAA meet. He has placed top-three in his events at a whopping 19 different occasions during the 2026 season.
Toro and the rest of the qualifiers will be competing at the Big West Track & Field Championships in Long Beach, Calif. this Friday and Saturday.
