Quotes from Head Coach Jeremy Beard
  • "UCR came out pitching very well, we did a good job not offering at a pitcher's pitch early. We executed very well with four hits and four walks in the fourth inning."
  • "Matty was very impressive, he was on his game despite not having his best stuff tonight. He had big strikeouts when he needed them and allowed our defense to get to work. Another great effort by him, he has been consistent all year long for us."
  • "It's nice to win another Big West series, any team in this league can beat each other. It is not easy to do, for us to come out and get another win on the back end of our schedule is a real tribute to our guys to stay with us and continue to be relentless and battle hard the entire season."
