BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Cal State Bakersfield baseball team got their first Big West win of the season against the UC Davis Aggies. Freshman pitcher, Jacob Gutierrez starting off on the mound for the first time collegiately earning the Roadrunners the win. The 'Runners played a solid game to avoid the series sweep.

Gutierrez led the `Runners off today in his first start of the season as a pitcher, striking out three in five innings.
In third-inning, AJ Miller homered to right field, giving the `Runners the momentum they needed to shake up the inning.
During the same inning the `Runners scored four runs off of Riley Kasper single out at first scoring two and Nick Salas single to center field scoring a runner. Giving Bakersfield a 6-1 lead.
Gabe Ulloa came in in relief to close out the game for the `Runners, shutting down the Aggies in the last four innings. Leaving the score 7-1 with CSUB's first Big West win of the year.
