Hawai'i Holds Off `Runners in Icardo Center

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – A physical, defensive battled raged in the Icardo Center on Monday evening as the Cal State Bakersfield men's basketball team hosted Hawai'i. Quotes
  • "I feel like we came to play, but we was getting inside our head and it affected our game and our style of play…I feel like they just came out and they had a mentality of being very physical with us, and it worked." – Antavion Collum
  • "We did a lot of stuff to hurt us…It's just on us to keep our head in the game. The bad plays is lingering tonight, I know for my part, bad plays is lingering. We didn't execute the way we should." – Cameron Smith
  • "I thought it was a hard-fought game. I thought it was a very physical, tough game. Obviously, they made more plays than we did. I thought we had a few tough breaks out there. I didn't think we were as in synch as we have been, but some of that was because we got in foul trouble…They've got a good team, an older team, and they did a really good job of just hanging in there and making more plays than we did." – Head Coach Rod Barnes
