CSUB vs Whittier College (1-6) - Tuesday, Dec. 5, 7:00 PM

• This is the second time the two teams are meeting.
•  The last time they met was in 2017, where the `Runners won 88-66.
• Whittier is on a 3 game losing streak looking to get back in the win column with tough task in CSUB.
• CSUB is coming off a loss versus #11 Gonzaga.

CSUB at South Dakota (6-3) - Saturday, Dec. 9, 4:00 PM (PT) 

• The two teams have met three times, dating back to 2014. This is the first meeting since 2018.
• South Dakota won the last meeting 68-56 in Vermillion.
• South Dakota is 6-3 going coming into Saturday versus CSUB.
  • Coming into their last game on Saturday Dec. 3, they had four players averaging 10 or more
  • They are averaging 82.6 PPG while holding opponents to 69.4 PPG
  • Senior, Lahat Thioune, is the team’s leading scorer with 13.8 a game while bringing down 9.4 rebounds a game.
• CSUB comes into this week at 3-4 after dropping their game versus #11 Gonzaga.
  • CSUB is averaging 64.6 PPG while opponents are averaging 70.7 PPG

• The Cal State Bakersfield women's indoor track and field team will begin the indoor season this Saturday as they send athletes to the Spokane Invitational.
• This is the first time the Roadrunners will compete at the invitational, with Fall training under their belt, CSUB looks to put their fitness to the test. 
• Two-time Big West pole vault champion, Miranda Miller, begins her final season in the blue and gold.
•  400-meter school record holder and Big West champion, Kynnedi McCall, opens up the season in the 600-meters. 
• Las year's meet featured Fresno State, Oregon State, Nevada, Boise State, and Washington
• “I am encouraged by the work the women have put in this semester,” said Director of Track and Field/Cross Country Coach Marcia Mansur-Wentworth. 

CSUB at Spokane Invitational - Saturday, Dec. 9, All Day

• Miller's Indoor Final Season: The 2022 and 2023 Big West Champion Miranda Miller will compete in the pole vault. The Manteca, Calif. native holds the indoor and outdoor CSUB record. Miller won a total of nine meets in the 2023 season and looks to continue her momentum into indoors this season. 
• Mcall's indoor debut: Kynnedi McCall will compete in the 600m in her first collegiate indoor meet in the blue and gold on Saturday. She broke the 40 year old school record in the 400m last year as she claimed her first conference title. 
• Valentic in the 3k: Senior Helena Valentic is coming off a historic cross country season as she made her way into the all-time list in the 4k, 5k, and 6k. Valentic is now the school record holder in the 4k. She will compete in the 3k this weekend. 
• Stein tests speed: Julia Stein is set to compete in the 60m hurdles and the 300m as she focuses on speed this meet. Stein is top six all-time in CSUB history in the 60mH,100mH, and 400mH.
• Other notable athletes competing: Nerissa Thompson (60m/300m), Jessi Solis (weight throw), Julie Johnson (400m), Jaztyn Greer (60mH/300m).
• Greer, Johnson, Stein, and McCall will also compete in the 4x400m. 

CSUB at Boise State (6-2) - Wednesday, Dec. 6, 5:30 PM

• After getting a well-deserved break from their four-day, three-game road sprint to close out November, the Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners now go away from home once more, this time to face arguably their toughest opponent during this stint.
• Boise State, sitting at fourth place in the Mountain West, is Bakersfield’s opponent on Wednesday evening, as the `Runners will attempt to get the over on the Broncos’ defense that allows just 53.5 points per game.
• Having scored at least 54 points in every game this season, and over 60 points in half of those games, CSUB’s offense looks towards leading scorer Shaunae Brown (14.0 pts/g) and all-around veteran Jordan Olivares (11.3 pts/g, 7.0 reb/g).
• Coming off a 64-43 loss to Eastern Washington, Boise State will be looking for a return to form after having already beaten one Big West team this season during a 70-53 victory over UC Davis.
• Boise State’s players to watch are Natalie Pasco from an offensive end, scoring at a 14.3 points per game pace, and defensive wall Abby Muse with 11.1 rebounds per game and 30 total blocks already on the season.
