CSUB 62, Long Island 57 – Friday, November 24
- The Cal State Bakersfield women's basketball team pulled off a fantastic and thrilling comeback victory against tournament hosts Long Island in Brooklyn, N.Y., as Shaunae Brown led the way for a new single-game career-high points total.
- Three Roadrunners scored in the double-digits, as they downed the Sharks with a difference-making 23-17 fourth quarter that broke the deadlock and gave CSUB its third victory of the season continuing into the four-game away stretch.
- Going 10-for-15 from the field and improving to .421 3FG% on the season, Brown tore up the court for 28 points and 7 rebounds to lead Bakersfield to the win, backed by a double-double from veteran Jordan Olivares and Cassidy Johnson's career-high 14 points from center.
- The `Runners played a top-heavy game with all but five of their points coming from those three players with double-digits. Despite LIU having a +10 differential from the boards, Bakersfield made the most of their shots, especially in the second half, and fended off a late comeback attempt by the Sharks.
